Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 18, 2026
These terms govern your application to and attendance at Principals (the “Event”), a private gathering hosted by Interesting People Events (“we,” “us,” or “our”) at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, British Columbia, on October 5–8, 2026. By applying or registering, you agree to these terms.
Applications & admission
Principals is application-only. Submitting an application does not guarantee admission. We review and accept applicants at our sole discretion, and we may decline or withdraw an invitation at any time. Admission is personal to you and may not be assigned except as described under Transfers below. You must be at least 18 years old to apply or attend, and if you apply or register on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these terms.
What your ticket includes
The ticket covers the Event program: roundtables and sessions, hosted meals and drinks at Event venues, guided activities, ground transportation between Event venues and activities, and concierge support for the duration of the Event. The ticket does not include your accommodation, travel to and from Whistler, or personal expenses.
Pricing & payment
The ticket price is stated in U.S. dollars and is due in full upon registration through our payment processor, Stripe. Applicable taxes are added at checkout. Your registration is confirmed once payment is received. We may offer a limited number of complimentary or adjusted-rate seats at our discretion; this does not change the terms that apply to your seat. A seat is not held until your payment has cleared. As tickets are non-refundable, initiating a chargeback or payment dispute in respect of a valid registration is a breach of these terms.
Cancellations, transfers & refunds
- Non-refundable. Tickets are non-refundable, except where we cancel the Event, in which case the remedy set out under “Changes or cancellation by us” below applies.
- Insurance recommended. Because tickets are non-refundable and your travel and accommodation are arranged separately, we strongly recommend that you obtain trip-cancellation and travel insurance.
- Transferable. If you cannot attend, you may transfer your seat to another person with at least 14 days’ written notice before the Event. Any transferee is subject to our approval and to these terms.
- How to request a transfer. Email paige@follypartners.com and we will arrange the details.
Accommodation
Your room is kept separate from the ticket. We hold a group room block at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler at a set rate; once you register, we provide a booking link and you reserve your room directly with the hotel. Your reservation, and any hotel charges, cancellation terms, and incidentals, are governed by the hotel’s own policies and are a matter between you and the hotel.
Changes or cancellation by us
We may adjust the program, speakers, venues, or schedule as needed. If circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including weather, acts of nature, illness or public-health events, travel disruption, venue or supplier failure, or other force majeure — require us to postpone or cancel the Event, we will provide you with a credit equal to the amount you paid for your ticket, valid toward a future Principals event. If we cancel the Event for any reason other than force majeure, you will instead receive a full refund of the amount you paid for your ticket. In all cases, our total liability is limited as set out below, and these remedies are your sole and exclusive remedy.
Activities & assumption of risk
The Event includes mountain and outdoor activities that carry inherent risks. Participation is voluntary, and you take part at your own risk. You are responsible for assessing your own fitness to participate and for carrying appropriate travel, medical, and personal insurance. You may be asked to sign activity-specific waivers provided by third-party activity operators. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume these inherent risks and release us and our staff, contractors, and the activity operators from claims arising out of them. If you decline to sign a required waiver, you will not be able to take part in that activity, and no refund or credit will be given for any activity you choose not to join.
Conduct & confidentiality
Principals depends on candour and mutual respect. The Event runs under the Chatham House Rule: you may use what you learn, but you may not attribute private comments outside the room, and there is no press, recording, or quoting of private conversations. We may remove any attendee, without refund, whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or in breach of these terms or the confidentiality expected of the room. You agree to treat other attendees, our staff, and venue personnel with respect; harassment, discrimination, and threatening or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. You also agree to comply with all applicable laws and with the rules of the hotel and activity venues.
Media
We may take photographs or video of the Event for limited promotional use. We will respect attendee privacy and will not publish identifying images of an attendee who asks us not to. Tell us at the Event or email hello@interestingpeople.com. Any opt-out applies on a going-forward basis. For images and footage captured before your request, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them for the limited promotional purposes described above.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Event or these terms will not exceed the amount you paid for your ticket. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts, omissions, products, or services of third parties (including the hotel, activity operators, and transportation providers). Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Any claim arising out of or relating to the Event or these terms must be brought within twelve (12) months of the event giving rise to it; otherwise it is permanently barred, except where applicable law does not permit such a limit.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Interesting People Events and its staff and contractors from any loss, damage, cost, or claim arising out of your own acts or omissions, your breach of these terms, your breach of the confidentiality expected of the room, or any property damage or injury you cause at the Event or its venues.
Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of British Columbia will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you register applies to your attendance.
General
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any activity-specific waivers, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Event and supersede any prior discussions. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these terms except through an approved transfer; we may assign or transfer our rights and obligations, including to a successor entity. Notices to us may be sent to hello@interestingpeople.com, and we may contact you at the email address you provide.
